An autumn day combining Amicalola Falls State Park and R & A Apple Orchards!
West of Dahlonega, Georgia, on the cusp of the North Georgia Mountains, sits Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge. A nature lover’s wonderland, it’s only 8 miles from the Appalachian Trail and within the Chattahoochee National Forest. The park is named after its most treasured feature, Amicalola Falls – a magnificent waterfall, the third-highest cascading waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains.
Your lunch buffet in the lodge, at the beautiful Cascades restaurant, elevation 2641 feet above sea level, is included. This is lunch with a view! Also included in the park is one of the largest and newest Visitor Centers in our State Park system.
Next, we'll head to R & A Orchards in Ellijay, where you can browse fall products and produce.
All-inclusive: Motorcoach transportation, Park admission, Cascades lunch, and gratuities. Jacque & Kent escorting.
Non-refundable after October 21st. You may find someone else to transfer your spot to after that point.
Activity level offers a range from leisurely observer at the bottom of the falls to very active, if you want to climb the falls staircase. There are also various hiking options.
