June 9th, Thursday Ruby Falls Cave Adventure
A drive to Chattanooga, Tennessee. A view from Lookout Mountain at Ruby Falls. A glass-front elevator to transport us down, down, down to the deepest commercial caverns in America. A walk along the underground cavern trail. Learn the story behind the accidental discovery of the cavern, see stunning rock formations, and finally, experience the tallest underground waterfalls open to the public.
The temperature inside Ruby Falls year-round is a cool 60 degrees. Add in a little humidity and the temperature in the cave feels like a perfect 70 degrees.
This trip is appropriate for those with good mobility and balance, who can stand/walk for roughly 1-1 1/2 hours. There are places to sit periodically. Not appropriate for any wheeled devices.
Inclusive with lunch in downtown Chattanooga, then free time to walk around and explore the pedestrian bridge and surrounding shops. As always, your motorcoach transportation and gratuities are included. Jacque and Kent escorting.
